I opted for short. Not SHORT short, like I wanted. I think my hair dresser was a bit frightened to do The Chop. I had to tell her twice to cut it a little bit shorter. A little more stylized. A little less...muffiny.
I was going for this:
And somehow ended up with this:
(Caleb jumped in at the last second, and that's me, trying not to laugh. I somewhat succeeded.)
Which I like, don't get me wrong, it's just not quite what I had in mind. Or close to what the picture was.
No matter, it will do for now. Probably be easier to manage at first, when showers and makeup will be luxury items. Hopefully by the time Christmas rolls around I'll have the wherewithal to take care of myself, and for surviving the first two months I'll treat myself when I go home with a visit to my favorite stylist in the whole wide world. Oh, how I miss him.

Also? I voted today. My very first Big Election, since I was in Australia 4 years ago and found out about absentee ballots a wee bit late. I opted to vote by mail on the off chance that I'd go into labor and not be able to get to the polls. So I'm done. And ready for this entire country to be done with it as well, thankyouverymuch. Get out there, vote for whomever you deem the worthy candidate, and let's move on with it. The end.

I'll cross my fingers for you that you will be in the hospital on election day! =) Your hair is super cute though, even if it wasn't exactly what you were goin' for. I am excited to see what this little baby doll of yours is going to look like (oh and what his name will be!)
