Smelling his sweet baby breath as he lays on my chest and sleeps.
His hiccups, especially the high pitched ones.
The frantic moving of his head and fast in and out breath right before he latches on.
All the many squeaks, squawks, and grunts.
Big yawns.
Watching his eyes roam the room when he's awake.
The smiles, even though they're not technically caused by anything we do (they mostly happen when he's asleep), I still like to think that it's my own little reward. My 3 am reward.
The way he smells. I could breathe it in for days.
Watching my family hold and enjoy him.
Playing with his feet and hands while I feed him.
My guilty pleasure: bringing him into bed with me in the early morning hours because he's sleepy but won't sleep, and I'm past the point of exhaustion. He falls asleep within minutes after I lay him next to me on my side, and we both sleep until Caleb's alarm goes off.
Watching Caleb hold him.

It's so amazing to hear these things. I feel like you've become a better version of yourself through motherhood.
Not that you weren't great before, but it's like you've found your calling.
I'm so happy for you.

I love this! All of these are such sweet, great little things (especially the frantic breathing/moving head thing... it cracks me up when mine does it). Congratulations on your new, adorable little guy!
