I don't blame you, it's like a three hour long movie. It's okay that you're not ready to leave him for that long.

Brian told me this story and I was like, "Well, yeah!"

And he was like, "I don't get it."

Those sweet boys. We gotta love 'em, right?

Hey! Cy didn't start spitting up until we switched to bottle feeding, so breastfed babies might not! On the other hand, my friend's breastfed baby needs special medicine because he spits up so much- so I guess it depends on Wyatt and how his little tummy takes food. As for where to change the baby...I'm scared of the bathroom tables because I wonder if they ever get cleaned...I've changed Cy on a bench in the mall (just a wet diaper, quick switch using a plastic plant for cover...), in the car a HUNDRED times, or in a changing room. My personal favorite changing surface is the stroller. We take the car seat off the top of our travel system and lay the big boy stroller flat, put the changing pad under him and it works perfectly. Until he gets too big, that is. Good luck :)

Count your blessings that Wyatt doesn't spit up! I am sure you remember Cameron's projectile spit-up all over the gym floor. The best thing is that you don't have to smell like spit-up all the time.

How sweet of Caleb to plan a night out for you! I can understand how you miss him so much and can't stand being away...I am that way with every baby. It does get easier...trust me. I would do a happy dance if Mark did that for me...

You are a great mom and it is so fun to re-live the early mommy days with you!

As for the changing tables I am with your friend...YUCK. If you do use one be sure to have a plastic changing pad w/ you as well as an extra blanket. Strollers and cars are great. But, if you had to, I would just use the blanket and changing pad wherever you could find a place. I washed many extra blankets in my baby days.

You're such a sweet mom to get to emotional about leaving your baby. I can identify. When Jay and I go to movies I can handle sitting through the movie, but I don't want to take any extra time in getting home. We go straight there and come straight home to make that part as quick as possible!
I read the story to Jay, and he didn't get that they were tickets to the MOVIE, and he insisted that if you couldn't use your tickets to Austrailia, we could use them for you! :)

It will pass, I didn't leave my son for almost two months after he was born, and then I could only handle going a few blocks away to get ice cream and bring it home to eat at the kitchen table. By six months I was taking off for six hours to go shopping with friends.

p.s. They can start spitting up at any time. Sorry.
