For Caleb's 25th birthday I wanted to do something to commemorate such a momentous number, so I stole Maggie's idea (who is a much better wrapper than I) and got him 25 gifts. It turned out really well, if I do say so myself. He had no idea of course, and after weeks of me building up the excitement he was practically bursting at the seams.
I had to hide all the items for a day or so in Wyatt's room because it took a bit of time to wrap everything. I told him he couldn't go in, and while I knew he wouldn't knowingly ruin his birthday present, I also knew that he is sometimes forgetful. Just a bit. So I made a sign.
See if you can guess where the verbiage came from...
Here he is, about to go see what all the fuss is about:
And his reaction:
This is what he saw.
Not quite sure what to say.
Wyatt isn't either.
A few shots of his loot:
Free back rub coupons - his favorite.
His favorite discovery ever: Rootbeer Keg.
And my gift to his fellow office mates:
Drops you add to the toilet before you do "your business". No stink! Hilarious.
Wyatt spent most of the time doing this:
And this:
It was a rousing success. A lot of prep work (bags and tissue paper are your friends...), but totally worth it.

That is adorable! What a cute idea. And now I need to see if I can find a rootbeer keg, too, heh!

I love that idea! I just might have to steal it!

This was the best birthday ever! Thanks honey... except for that sign... I felt like I should tuck my tail between my legs and go lay down on Bear's bed and then eat a bunch of chocolate with the wrappers.... Then throw up on the rug.

Well, now I feel like a failure. I got Reece a "Rock Band" t-shirt for his 25th birthday. Caleb is lucky to have such a creative (and adorable) wife.
