It's been so interesting to watch Wyatt these last few weeks, he's beginning to understand so much about the world around him. He's starting to figure out signing, though he uses the same sign for food and water (they're similar), so it's still a guessing game anyway. He's developed a fascination with faces, and if I'm on the floor he'll toddle over and start poking at my eyes, pulling on my eyelashes, and touching my nose.
I was in the kitchen the other day and things got quiet. As many of you know, that's almost always a bad thing, and so I went walking around trying to find him, and found him crouched down peering underneath the couch. I bent to see what he was looking at, probably a block or ball he'd rolled underneath, and found nothing. He was just looking to see what was under the couch.
Yesterday, clearly wanting a snack, he took matters into his own hands and pulled out the treat container in my diaper bag.
And went to town.
(please note the yogurt melt stuck to his heel)
It's a good thing I'd already vacuumed for the day.

I've got to get some of those yogurt melts. I can't get my 11 month old to even put food in her mouth. He is adorable.

It blows my mind that Lola will someday be walking around, digging in my diaper bag and making sense of the world. I swear Wyatt was just born, wasn't he? He is such a handsome little devil, even with that cereal thing on his heel.

Wait, why is it a good thing that you already vaccuumed for the day? Now you just have to do it again...darn kids. That's why I don't do it at all. Helps their immune system too! (Note: I do actually vaccuum. Do not call CPS on me.)

Ok, why did I put so many letters in "vacuum"?

Only in that I didn't feel as bad that he'd been eating them directly off the floor. :)

He is so adorable. Isn't it great watching them become 'people'. Pretty soon he'll be climbing up all the furniture! :-)

yeah, when Maddie disappears somewhere in the house I know there's trouble.
Not. She's always just sleeping. Definitely not as much fun as Wy.
