Yesterday I was putting Wy's shoes on so that we could leave and out of the corner of my eye I spotted something.
I'm very good at this, you might even say I have a knack for it.
It was a big something. A big hairy something. On my favorite shoes. I took a closer look.
And then I died.
Do you see it?! I had to step back and calm myself. I had to take a picture (to show Caleb for real sympathy). I had to take each shoe out one by one, very carefully, while holding my breath, and then I had to toss it out the front door.
It was too big to squish. As you can see.
By the time I was done I was all flushy sweaty, and absolutely positively freaking out. How in the WORLD do these things get in my house?! How long had it been there? Where else had it been? Had it multiplied and replenished? Were there more?! Could I ever wear the shoes again!?
I have to report that today I did. I had some pants to take to get altered (why am I suddenly too short to wear regular jeans? Has it been that long since I've bought jeans? Three years? Is that too long?) and those were the shoes I needed as measurement. After 10 minutes of hunting, searching, and prepping, I put them on. I did it.
And I was honestly proud of myself. And you know what? So was Caleb. He was honestly proud. THAT is how serious this spider thing really is.
But honestly, wouldn't you have felt the same?

YES!! Yes, I would!! I am proud of you. We had a humongoid spider on our jogging stroller and I STILL haven't used it yet (and this was months ago). So, yes, very proud indeed. :-)

Holy. Moly. I would have died too. Just that picture alone makes me sick to my stomach. I hate spiders, well I hate all bugs and creatures of the like. I too am proud of you for being able to get rid of the spider, take a picture, and being able to wear those shoes again.

I am definitely impressed! i hate spiders!!! Or really any big bug...one time when we were living up by bass lake, there was this ginormous stink bug/beetle/prehistoric monster bug in our hallway. I wanted to cry...I kept giving my self a pep talk and trying to go "take car of it". In the end I just put a heavy glass on top of it and waited for Andy to get home =)
Oh and I take pictures of the giant spiders too...I have to prove it existed and wasin fact scary ;o)

Oooooh, now I am going to have nightmares tonight. Stupid arachnaphobia movie. That's were it all started I think. I get super psycho when I see spiders, big bugs are pretty bad too. When I lived in florida there was a huge cockroach in the bathroom with me. I moved and I kid you not he flew straight at me with that loud buzzing sound and I thought I would die. OOOOOh....nightmares....

Yikes! Way to get over paralyzing fear and discard the spider all by yourself :)

That is discusting! I am proud of you for puting those shoes back on. I would have struggled with that also!
Chad has forbid me from reacting to spiders because he doesn't want Marley to be deathly afraid of them like her mom.
But I totally get the slowly moving things and holding your breath. I do the same thing!!
