Now that summer is winding down (summer meaning school summer...I'm still counting on Utah to deliver some heat for a LOOOONG time...) and the guests have all gone home, I predict I will start getting back into a good routine. Blogging routine, cleaning routine, cooking routine....we've sort of all been lassaiz faire around here, which is what I love, but not always the most productive. I've got books to read (now that I've caught up on a huge chunk of my magazines) Blurb books to create (gotta use my Groupon before it expires!) flannel board lessons helps to cut out (for FHE!) and, well, a house to create. That's an entirely different post for another day, however. Point is, it's all gotta get done! So! Onward, ho!
A week and a half ago we were able to see our wonderful, amazing friends (framily?) Mark and Bridgette, and their two boys who were visiting their parents here. I was super excited of course, and we didn't even tell Wyatt he was going to see his beloved friends until a couple hours beforehand, to combat the endless questioning of when we'd be going. I have to say, I got all teary eyed when Wyatt saw them and ran up as excited as could be, and gave them both hugs.
We only were able to get together a couple times, but made the most of it. We miss San Jose and all that goes with it, but mostly we miss these guys. A lot.
We took the boys to Liberty Park one morning, to a section I'd never been before where the kids can play in some water steams and float boats, and Wyatt was in heaven. We'll definitely be going back.
(see me playing with the camera settings? always take me a bit...)
Truly wonderful friends. And besides being awesome? They surprised us with a bag of our favorite Trader Joes items, AND?! Bridge even went to Powell's Sweet Shoppe to get me some of my favorite candy. We are blessed! And can't wait to see them again.

Hello, I didn't even know that was your favorite candy. And that makes me feel sad. The house looks great, and the park, too!
